Moss a Slouch???

Revis: Moss is a ’slouch’

New York Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis isn’t backing down one bit when it comes to describing Patriots [team stats] Pro Bowl receiver Randy Moss.

Once a slouch, always a slouch.

Revis was asked about his declaration on NFL Network this past weekend, when he replied, during a word association game with host Deion Sanders, with the word “slouch” in response to Randy Moss’s name.

“You know what a slouch means,” he said when approached today in the Jets lockerroom.

When a reporter answered: someone who dogs it or doesn’t give it his all every play, Revis said, “I don’t need to speak on it anymore. I said what I had to say. That’s what it is. I said it on national TV. Everybody saw it. I’m just speaking the truth, that’s all.

It’s no secret Revis was none too pleased that after he shut Moss down during the second game of the season in September, the Pats receiver shot down the performance, saying he could have done the same if he had safety help.

"He didn’t give me respect one time, and you (should) respect people,” Revis said. “That’s a simple fact.”

When asked by Sanders about other NFL receivers, Revis answered, “competitor” to Chad Ochocinco’s name and “beast” to Andre Johnson’s name. He also called Terrell Owens a slouch.

I have been one to defend Randy Moss since he's been here but I'm starting to wonder if the adage "where there's smoke there's fire" applies. There's been multiple players this year that have come out and said that Moss wasn't going at full speed. Hopefully he was injured all year and played through the pain which made it seem like he was dogging it. We would like to see what you think here at the BBB. Vote on the poll to the left to have your voice heard.
